Term 3

This term I have improved heaps. I can tell because I have ticked of many of my goals and have heaps of examples to prove it. I have been trying new things like touch and choir. We I do new things that I am not the best at I really enjoyed them and willy to do them again and again. I when I look back at them I realise that I really enjoyed them and have learnt more about myself. Next term I think we show do more touch and skipping.I have really enjoyed garden to table because I like to learn more things in this topic and enjoy watching something grow.

Skiping

For the past 2 weeks we have been doing skipping for p.e. It has been an awesome time. I have learnt many new things and now I can skip new different ways confidently. It was a good way to have a break form my learning to help me to feel tip top. I think I am ready for the skipping Thursday. Were we share our skipping skills.

Rugby World Cup

The 2015 Rugby World Cup has started. This morning my family watched the replay of the All Blacks vs Argentina. It was an awesome game but my favourite part was when we scored the second to last try. I also like how the ref was so nice and was talking to them to help them to not get penalty's when doing something wrong.

Learning In The Making

On Friday last week our whole school had a big Learning In The Making conference. It was so awesome. My favourite part was probably leading a dance workshop. If I were to do it again I would have probably teach the older kids for French Knitting because it was really hard to teach the little kids. Here are some photos....

Compost

Today the garden to table group and made some compost. We are making a hot compost. We are going to weight the compost every week and see the changes in the weight. I think that weight is going to stay the same and when I did some reach I found that I was right.

• Hot compost takes 18 days. First you build a compost heap, then leave it for 4 days – no turning and then turn every 2nd day for 14 days. It is really interesting because unlike a cold compost the volume  of the hot compost stays the same.

Construction Workers Left a Message in The Sky For Little Girl in Hospital

Every day a two year old and her mum look out the window on her hospital floor window to see the construction across the street. Vivian Keith and her mom loved to start their mornings by waving at the construction workers, and, of course, the men happily wave back. One day they notice out the window there was a message it said  Get well soon. Is it that lovely. I wonder how long they have been in hospital ? NPK

The three numbers on fertilizer represents the value of the three nutrients used by plants. These nutrients are nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) or NPK for short. When you read the numbers on the bag of fertilizer you need to know, the higher the number the more concentrated the nutrient is in the fertilizer. For example, numbers on fertilizer listed as 20-5-5 has four times more nitrogen in it than phosphorus and potassium. Is it that tricky.

Nitrogen (N) – nitrogen is largely responsible for the growth of leaves on the plant.

Phosphorus (P) – Phosphorus is largely responsible for root growth and flower and fruit development.

Potassium (K) – Potassium is a nutrient that helps the overall functions of the plant perform correctly.

Couple’s Proposal Gone Wild

One guy was about to propose to his girlfriend while on vacation at the beach. He was down on one leg on the dock of the Old American Fish restaurant and the ring slipped out of box, through the crack in the board walk, and into the sea water. People from around jump in the water to help find the ring. It took 1 and a half hours until they found it. I wonder if at any time they felt like giving up?
