One special gift

A ten year old girl family had not that much money to feed there family so when Gabrielle came home saying that she needed a tablet for school they were sad to say they couldn't buy one for her. She set up a lemonade stand outside her gran's house to get the money to pay for a tablet. When a police man came to taste her drink he found out what she what and brought her a tablet with the help of the police team. .I personally I think this is a awesome thing to do for someone else.

 

My Writing

“Hey Dad do you remember Magnificent Morgan the lifesaving superhero?” Said Sophie. “Yes what about her?” Replied Sophie’s dad. “She died yesterday and her family found a story she wrote and it is now in the newspaper.” Said Sophie. “Can you read it to me?” Said Sophie’s dad.

She began “I am Morgan you may know me as Magnificent Morgan the lifesaving superhero I fight crime to help the people of Ngatea. Today I am dieing from a untreatable illness and I  am writing a story before death takes me and my grey hair up to where I need to be. I will start with a story of a letter I got on day back in 2013.... She was a small girl who looked up to me like I was god. She was my biggest fan on day she set me a letter she wrote:

Dear Magnificent Morgan

You are my hero and I wish I was you. You help to make my home town safe and I am so grateful for it. That is why I wrote this poem for you it spells Super Hero for you are an awesome super hero

Isnt that sweet? She decorated it with her drawings and stickers. She turn my day around and made me smile. Now let's hop in a time traveling machine and travel back to when I was young (which was a long time ago for I am 70 now). When I was young I looked up to my dad Clever Chris he was my god and he was my father who doesn't look up to there father! He was a Superhero like me and the rest of my family. Everyday I would practice to me the best to help save the people in danger. Then back inside to have dinner cooked by my step mum Powerful Petina. She was a great cook but when she need to help she went into beast mode. I would go to mum on the weekend and hang out there with mum a.k.a Versatile Vicki. I would go up to Auckland with Joyful Juile who always had a smile on her face and mum. Julie was a good friend to me. I also had many other friends in my family like Lovely Lola , Quick Quinn and Fearless Farven. Lola was cute and lovely girl. Quinn was super fast. Fairven had no fears she was fearless. My family were always there when I need them they were so supportive. I love you guys with all my heart!

My illness is called cancer and the doctors say I will not live to my 71st birthday in three days which gives me some time to tell you about what I did for the rest of my live. I am what is called a Ngatea lifesaver who helps to kept Ngatea safe. I was 18 when I began my job as number one Ngatea Lifesaver. I have helped more than 1254000 people from dieing to the bad people in Ngatea. I was a lifesaver until the doctors found that I had cancer then I retried and have been like this for a year now. So can I save my life because I was an lifesaver? No probably not. I am not a doctor , I am not a nurse , I am not a science, I am Morgan, Magnificent Morgan and I have a bad sickness which will take my life away tomorrow. I hope to see you soon up in heaven. Remember you are super you are great so life to your best state.”

“Hey dad” Said Sophie. “Can I be a Ngatea lifesaver?” “Only if you work for it” said Sophie dad. And she did.

Morgan Freeman At The Age of 10???

If I could travel back in time I would go back to when Morgan Freeman was my age. I would ask him some questions about being called Morgan and say that my name is Morgan too. We could become good friends and we could do acting to get together. I would go to school with him and learn how to act. We could star in movies and be in some of the movies I watch now. Before I left back to the future I would tell him that he should shoot for the stars and do good for others.

Back To The Cavemen

 If I could travel back in time I would go back to when the cavemen were around. I would ask them some questions about being a cavemen. I would teach them things like how to light a fire and how to cook. I would teach them to plant trees and greenery. Then they would become very smart. They would become scientists and have hard jobs when they are older. It would make the world a better place now in 2015.

Help Save The Dinosaurs

If I could travel back in time I would go back to when the dinosaurs were around. Dinosaurs are dangerous ,big and mean. They have scary razor sharp teeth. So I would train them to live with humans and help them from dieing out. I would study them for information to take back to the future a share to those interested. It would cool to say to your mates at school that you have a pet dinosaur at home.

Would You Run Into a Burning House to Save Someone

A ten year old boy Isiah dreamed of being a fireman until he had the time to test his skills when his neighbour's house caught on fire. His friend was over at his house and they were playing when they smelt the smell of smoke and rushed next door . They stormed into the house and came back with two little kids. The boys then called the police while the dad of the kids tried to extinguish the fire. Isiah says he wants to be a firefighter now more than ever.I personally I think this is a awesome thing to do for someone else but life risking. Have the boys done anything like this I wonder?  A Year 7 raise money for a new wheelchair for his neighbour

A boy named Ryan Czech did something awesome he raise money for a wheelchair for his neighbour Jerylyn whose wheelchair was stolen. Ryan raise all the money he need to buy the wheelchair in just 24 hours on an app called GoFundMe. They raised a huge $2,763 dollar which was just enough for the new wheelchair. I personally I think this is a awesome thing to do for someone else. It has inspired me to help more people in need of something and help them to get it. I wonder if he knew his neighbour well or they became closer after he got the money to buy the wheelchair. I had found some words tricky in the article here are the definitions below:

Cooking

Today we made our dish for a cooking comp we entered in we made Gyros which is like an open sandwich It looked awesome into we ate it. Maggi Kitchen Showdown is a cooking competition where you get to show off your cooking skills to the country! Teams must be between the ages of 11-15, with two to four students per team. Each team must create their very own recipe, with a few key requirements. The meal must: be a MAIN course meal and be able to serve a family of 4 people (2 adults + 2 children) cost a maximum of $20 to make include the use of one MAGGI product be able to be made and plated up in 50mins.  I the recipe for what I made the is:

Our Gyros served with rice!!

Ingredients:

Dip:

• And opened can of Reduced Cream

• 1 half packet of MAGGI Onion Soup Mix
• 1 Whole Avocado sliced then mashed
• A Teaspoon of lemon juice
• Half a diced tomato
• Half a diced Red onion

Gyros:

• 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
• 2 pieces Schnitzel Steak
• 4 pieces Lebanese Bread
• Half a cut tomato
• Half pack of washed  Rocket
• Half a sliced Red Onion

The rice:

• A Teaspoon of lemon juice
• One cup of Rice
• One cup of Water

To season:

• Pinch Salt
• Sprinkle of Pepper
• 2 Teaspoons Lemon juice

Equipment:

• Wooden Chopping board (To serve on)
• Rice Cooker
• Large Pan

How to Cook

1. Pour the one cup of rice into rice cooker.
2. Add one cup of water into the rice cooker and make sure it is all even and level.
3. Start the rice cooker so that it is cooking while you are doing other jobs.
4. Put in your 4 pieces Lebanese Bread in a oven at 180℃ until a little puffy and warmed through (about 15 minutes).
5. Heat oil in a large frying pan, make sure it is spread all around.
6. Add the schnitzel in the pan.
7. Cook for approximately 1 minute on each side. Or until browned  
8. Make sure the schnitzel cools before slicing into thin strips.
9. Cut the tomato In half.
10. Dice one half of the tomato into small pieces.
11. Cut the other half into four equal pieces.
12. Cut the onion in half.
13. Dice one half finely.
14. Cut the other half into slices
15. Open can of reduced cream and pour into big bowl
16. Mix through the Maggi Onion Soup Mix.
17. Gently mix and fold the mashed avocado into the Cream Mix.
18. Once nicely mixed in, add the diced tomato and diced onion and gently fold it all in.
19. Cover with glad wrap and put in fridge until needed.
20. If the Lebanese breads are puffy remove them from the oven (If not leave a bit longer)
21. Put a bowl in the middle of each one so that the middle isn't puffy but the outside is.
22. once rice is done stir it around and leave it with the lid off.
23. Remove Guacamole from fridge.

PLATING:

1. Put your Lebanese Breads on your plate or chopping board.
2. Spread a thick layer of the Guacamole evenly onto the  Lebanese Bread
3. Place the schnitzel steak on top of the Guacamole (equal amounts on each).
4. Place on your Sliced onion.
5. Place a slice of tomato on the side of each Lebanese Bread.
6. Sprinkle with pepper and a pinch of salt
7. Drizzle of with lemon
8. Add rice to the plate.

Toys Like Me are toy doll company are designing and 3D printed toy dolls for those kids with disabilities to make them feel special. They have hearing aids, walking aids, facial birthmarks and now are working on wheel chairs for the kids with disabilities in Britain. Well personally I think this is a awesome idea are a great way to make kids with disabilities make them feel special.There was no words that I found tricky in the article.  Waitress Gives Kidney to Customer She Barely Knew

At a Roswell a waitress was talking to a customer when he said he had lost his kidneys to cancer. The lovely lady donated her kidney when she heard the bad news. She barely even knew him so this was very caring. This lady is very inspiring. I think this was a lovely thing to do for someone else and she has inspired me to help more people in need. There was no words that I found tricky in the article. But I do have a question for you would you would you donate your kidney to someone you barely even new? NZ Month Figurative Language Challenge

I am in the Ngatea Hornets for hockey this year I play Full Back (defence) and sometimes Mid. So far it has been awesome, we have done really well winning all of our games. This week we are playing and I can not wait.
