Impact

    • What has changed as a result of my learning? Thoughts, values, actions?

The help from Paul Green and Barbara. They help a lot to get the garden the way it is now. I enjoyed working with Barbara the most because she was really nice and helpful.

    • Through my IMPACT learning I enjoyed?

To sow seeds and plant flowers. Also cooking with the food we grew. We made heaps every tasted so good.

    • It would have been better if…?

We had more garden space to plant in.

    • Next year I would like to learn about?

The water needed on each plant.

Nice Police Officer
One police lady honored by the mayor and police chief with a Beyond The Call Of Duty award. How she won it was because. One day she pulled over a lady that was crying because she had just found out the her mother had died. After the police officer let her off with a warning she could not stop think about her. She sent her some flowers with a note that said “I’m very sorry about your mother. I hope you find comfort in knowing she lived a long life and will continue to live on in your heart and in your memories.” Is it that sad and nice of the police office. I wonder what killed her mum? Bugs And Pest

This blog post is how to get rid of bugs and pest in the garden.

How to get rid of birds

Birds eat heaps of our plant at school so the ways I have found are prefect for us.

Hang flashy strips of aluminum foil or metal. Hang old CDS.

How to get rid of slugs

Spreading salt around your plants dries them out so they won’t go near it. Collect human, dog, or cat hair and put around your plants, not only will the slugs not go on it, but it will also keep a lot of the little critters away also.

When you find a slime trail, destroy the track so other slugs do not follow. They will follow each others trail.

There are certain plants that slugs hate like the strong smell of mint, chives, garlic, geraniums, foxgloves and fennel. Plant them around the edge of your garden to keep them out.

Put Copper of foil barriers around plants that the slugs are eating. When the slugs cross them they are given a small shock. This also works for snails.

Fill a shallow bowl with beer and wait overnight. The slugs love it. Dispose of the slugged brew by adding it to your comport.

After eating your 1/2 grapefruit for breakfast, put it into your garden to make slug trap. Turn upside down after putting a small hole or two on the side for slugs to enter. They adore grapefruit and the slugs will gather there to eat the grapefruit and leave your plants alone.
