Leaving a Legacy Writing Task

To me leaving a legacy is all about  learning from the past, living in the present, and building for the future. It is how we have made impact for others to carry on and for them to leave their legacy. Over my 5 years at this school I have left many legacies for others to carry on. One was I was apart of the two poles up at the front of the school. This active was with my impact group last year. We did it to make to make an impact in our school. The poles share a story about our school the bottom Moana which means the sea so on our poles we painted the sea. Then the land Whenua filled with our native birds and plants. Whetu which means the stars so on our poles we painted the stars. Marrama the moon at the top of our poles.

. I have been involved in lots of actives and NPS and given everything ago. In all actives I have tried my best and created achievements and memories to look back on. I have done so well in running training in the mornings with Mr Fraser. I feel now my running technique is improved and have shown my running skills for others to look up on. Also this year I have been apart of the garden to table group for other students to carry on in the garden next year. We also have made great friends/garden experts to help us and the new garden to table group next year.

Last year and this year I was a school ambassador. What I did was I talked to the schools that came in and share my learning with them. They asked question and we answer them. It has been awesome being in this team. I have really enjoyed sharing to other schools about how we learn here at NPS. I think this was a really great experience and will hopefully do it next year.

I was apart of the new open plan learning place and one to one device. We had to put own heads together and learn to use the new devices. The open plan learning place is a great way to learn and tests our time management and prioritising skills. It also gives us time to work collaboratively with others in the other learning areas. This was a great step for our school and we will continue changing as learning does.

I have also won the hockey 11 a side cup with the hornets team to make Ngatea on it heaps of times. To win the cup you need to vis all the teams and the two best team play the final. This was so much fun to share my hockey skills. I think this was a really great experience and will hopefully do it next year. Other one of my hockey achievement is to come sixth in the Rotorua tournament with the Thames Valley 11 a side girls team. This was great because there were 8 teams. The games with a lot harder then ones than our school because you are one of the best in Thames Valley so you are up against many really good girls and also because it is a lot colder in Rotorua.

I have learnt that to leave a legacy have to have self belief. If you do not believe in yourself in your project or goal you find it harder the get it complete and leave your legacy. I think I have had an awesome time at NPS because there is so many things I have enjoyed, practiced in and learnt from. For the future nps students have fun and believe in everything you do.
