Evaluation

My writing is called  The Green Slide

It is a: Personal Recount about going on the green water slide on the weekend.

I wrote it to: Share my writing skills in and cool story about something I have done.

One of my learning goals was to: Use complex words.

I achieved it because I have used many words that I have not used before that make my story better.

My other learning goal was: Recraft text by revising and editing. Which I have done heaps in this story.

The Green Slide

I was pretty ready but I still felt the butterflies fluttering in the bottom of my tummy. The words “Face my fears, face my fears” were spinning around in my head. I jumped in the green waterslide not knowing what an energy rush I was about to have. The warm water lapped by my side. Making me feel alive. I gripped onto the cold hard metal bar and gave a good hard pull and went down the slide. The green slide lit up by the blistering bright sun and from the inside, it looked like a lime green color. I layed back onto my back. It was so peaceful and slow that I thought how much of a chicken I was.  

My thoughts got interrupted by a big drop in the slide. I started speeding down and down. I sat up quickly in shock. My hair went flying crazily behind me as I went bouncing wildly down the green tube. I knew that there was no way to slow down so I just had to try to enjoy the speed. I went down a little more and there was another drop way bigger than the last one. I started to second guess my decision to go on the slide. Again I went rapidly racing down but this time, I was speeding a lot faster.  I knew that the bottom had to be coming up, but it didn't.  

The peaceful glowing green slide had turned into one of the most monstrous and scariness water slide I have ever been. It was like the slide was trying to make me scared. My thoughts again got interrupted by the light at the end of the tunnel, it was about to end! I bounced up and hit my head on the top of the slide and  I plugged like a diver into the water. Making a massive splash. I felt like the bricks on my shoulders had been lifted off. I had finished the slide.

1. I really enjoy writing at school. I like writing in a quiet place. My favorite things to write our poems and imagine stories.

2. I think that I am a good writing because I have an eye for editing, can think of lots of ideas, I read my writing to see if it makes sense,  I experiment with different types of writing and changes parts of writing my writing to make it better.

3. I think that my teachers think I am a good writing because I get nice comments from the teachers about my writing.

4. My mum, dad and my family read my writing and say nice things to be.

5. I enjoy writing at home about things I do and about things I read.

6. I am not the best speller but I am getting better.
