Its or It’s

Today I went to a workshop on its or it’s. It's is a contraction for it is or it has. Its is a possessive pronoun meaning of it or belonging to it. If you aren't sure which one to use, try replacing it with it is. If that makes sense, use it's. If not, try replacing it with her or his. If that makes sense, then use its.  It was really helpful.

  1. After I read your post I had to keep checking my emails all day to make sure I was using "its" or "it's" correctly.
